The Double Challenge

The Experiment: Find a penny, and find a way to double it. Then keep on doubling until I have enough money to pay off my mortgage.

Creeping up

All you hard core fans (yeah, right) have probably noticed that my total has slowly been climbing by a few pennies here and there. These are coins I found on the ground. I have decided not to post coin finding anymore (oops - aren't I doing that right now?) unless it's something really crazy like a buck or something!

Still trying to sell more spreadsheets. I've had a bite or two but no buyers. :(

Sold a Spreadsheet!

Yahoo! I sold a spreadsheet! I charged $5, but the paypal charges brought this down to $4.30. I think maybe I should be charging more, but I am waiting for feedback from the guy. This pretty much covers the dud advertising fees and gives me a lot of hope for selling this spreadsheet because I only advertised on the local for sale board. If I ebay this then who knows how many I might sell! I think I'll try craigslist too and see where it goes. The nice thing about selling this is that geography doesn't matter and I can make as many copies as I can sell. Of course pirates can do the same, but it's better to sell 50% of what I could than nothing.

Monthly Advertising Fee

Ok, my monthly advertising fee came in for the affiliate marketing thing. It cost me $4.11. Not a hefty sum, but a bit depressing since I havn't sold a darn thing. I got another click today. Maybe it will lead somewhere. On a brighter note, someone seems to be interested in my financial spreadsheet. He even asked about paying with paypal, but that was two days ago and I havn't heard boo since. Even though he might purchase it, it is nice to get some interest after only posting it on the local for sale web site. I think I'll try e-bay-ing this to get bigger exposure. All I have to do is sell one of these things and I get my advertising dollars back. Still a long way back to where I was though.

Financial Spreadsheet for Sale

Ok, This blows. I haven't sold a darn thing through this internet marketing crap. I'm starting to really regret buying that e-book. I think it can still be done, but it sure isn't working for me. I got to thinking - what could I sell to try and recoup some of the money I lost on this wild goose chase. And then it hit me. A while ago, I made this excel spreadsheet where I recorded my finances. The spreadsheet automatically makes graphs for you based on each category and even shows how you are doing on average compared with your budget amounts. Here is a few pictures. If anyone is interested in buying this for $5 CAD, then leave a comment with your e-mail address and we'll work it out.
